Iberia Elementary School

Back to School Information

Open House:  PreK-12th grade students are invited to an Open House/Outdoor Meet and Greet on Tuesday, August 18 from 4-7 p.m.  In an effort to minimize traffic in the building, ONLY Kindergarten students and those new to the district and their parents are invited into the building to find their classrooms.  All teachers for grades 1-6, Title teachers, Specials teachers, and the counselor will be located outside.  The kindergarten teachers will be in their classrooms.  We are requesting that you bring your school supplies the first day of school but know that it may be too much for some.  You may drop off the supplies at the Meet and Greet with your child’s teacher and we will place them on your child’s desk.

Parents and Visitors:  To minimize any possible exposures to the coronavirus, parents/visitors will not be allowed in the building, which includes the first day of school.  The first week of school, Kindergarten teachers will be meeting the students at the front door.  We are sorry for this necessary procedure but want to do everything possible to minimize exposures, stay healthy, and stay in school.  Thank you for your understanding.

Meals:  Breakfast and lunch will be served in the classrooms.  Breakfast is free for all students.  Lunch will cost the amount determined if you are on free or reduced lunches or full pay.  Unfortunately we will not have microwaves available for lunches.

Water Fountains and Bottles:  The water fountains will not be in use.  The water filling stations will be in use. Students may bring their own water bottle but every student will be given a water bottle at the beginning of the year.
