Preschool screenings will be August 17th-19th. Open to all 3 & 4 year olds in the Iberia School District. To schedule a screening call the elementary office on August 3rd or after. The first day of preschool classes will be August 27th.

We will not have K screening before the beginning of the school year. Testing will be done at the beginning of the school year. The K class list will be posted on the elementary school door later today. You will also be hearing from your teacher before the beginning of school.

Lake Regional Sports Medicine and physicians will provide free sports physicals at Iberia Health Clinic on July 28th 8-5 for high school and middle school athletes.
Students should wear loose fitting clothing and have a parent or guardian present.
Physicals are valid for two years, per MSHAA guidelines.
Face coverings are required. If you do not have a face covering, one will be provided.
Please allow extra time — all participants will be screened for temperature and symptoms, and social distancing guidelines will be followed.

We anticipate a reschedule for prom and are working with our travel agent regarding our options for the trip. The Iberia R-V School District has extended its COVID-19 closure through April 24, 2020. Classes are scheduled to resume on April 27, 2020. In the meantime, instruction will continue as currently being implemented, with online and hard-copy systems. Likewise, food deliveries will continue under the method currently being used. Those who have not signed up for food deliveries but wish to use that service may do so by calling school or completing the online form previously published. Changes to these plans will be announced when needed.

Our fire alarm went off today due to electrical installation. Never was there a fire or an emergency. The students were evacuated per protocol but there was no emergency. The alarm was loud, we didn't like the noise it made but we now know what it sounds like in case of a real emergency.

The city has assured us that we will have enough water pressure available to take care of our needs. Unless we hear otherwise, we plan to be in session tomorrow. To be safe, if you have bottled water available, please send a bottle or two to school with your student(s). If you do not have water available, we will have some available for students.
